Writing has little to do with this auspicious holiday, but happy Halloween nonetheless!
For those of you looking for something with meat and dialogue for this time of the year, I highly recommend “The Orphanage.” Directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and written by Sergio G. Sanchez, the Spanish film is suspenseful, unique and incredibly well-written. Guillermo del Toro, famous for “Pan’s Labrynth,” also produced the film. This is one story that has a lot of talent behind it, and it shows. Trust me, you’ll want to see this before the American remake ruins the story for you.
There, my Halloween contribution to all the sugar-rushed horror fans out there.
Be safe and have fun!
