If there's a TV on in the house and I can hear it, I'm out. I can't have music or a DVD playing, either. I work the best with total silence around me. But it's really odd that I can write just about anywhere that's like that. I have my desk, but it's not necessarily "my space" yet because my wife just moved in so it's in a new location for the first time in three years. I’m the same way, totally easily distracted.
