Writing and the proper music

How many of you listen to music when writing?

I’m not going to lie, music is a must when writing for me.  Not necessarily writing articles or reviews, but in scriptwriting.  Once I find the right music that mirrors my mood, it’s much easier to calm down and focus.

If therapy is the remediation of a particular problem, then writing is my therapeutic outlet.  When you add, for example, Alexi Murdoch or Sufjan Stevens to the equation, chances are more likely that the writing is worth keeping.

Having been a piano performance major in the past, music has been a major factor in my life.  Glad to see it’s still around to help me keep my head up.

Ha, I guess there’s not a lot of variation on my mood when I write :)
