The Big Bang Theory 3×10 ‘The Gorilla Experiment’

I must say it is refreshing to have another female personality on The Big Bang Theory.  'The Gorilla Experiment'' continues to focus on Howard's new relationship. Coupling For the first time in the series, The Big Bang Theory has the opportunity to explore the tricky rapids of relationships in a real way.  While Penny and Leonard give us a cute perspective of how opposites attract, Howard and Bernadette present a new layer to how these socially incompetent men might find romantic happiness...

Desperate Housewives 6×10 ‘Boom Crunch’

I'll admit that watching the special disaster episodes of Desperate Housewives simultaneously makes me feel silly and exhilarated.  Despite the implications, people watch disaster movies because they are entertaining.  Still, 'Boom Crunch' does have the emotional anchor the show needs despite it aerial ascent from reality. The Crash If there was an Oceanic reference, I missed it.  Either way, the one disappointment of the episode is the promise of a plane crash to begin with because ultima...

Spring Awakening Review: Denver Buell Theater

After more than a year of waiting, my high expectations of experiencing the exploitive sensation that is Spring Awakening is nothing if not utterly fulfilled.  Currently playing at the Denver Buell Theatre, the tour is a direct mixture of everything musical, taboo, emotional and ultimately sensational. Fringe 2×09 ‘Snakehead’

Following the emotional episode from last week, I didn't think this episode would rate as high for my standards.  Surprisingly, Fringe has really crafted a knack for balancing the juggling act of sci-fi mystery versus character development.  'Snakehead' is no exception. Father and Son In addition to a very interesting case, the episode also manages to squeeze in a very touching storyline between Peter, Walter and Astrid.  The one upside to the demise of Agent Francis is that Astrid is star...

The Office 6×12 ‘Scott’s Tots’

If there's ever been a premise to promise awkward moments, it's 'Scott's Tots', and the episode certainly delivers in that department.  Ah yes, there's nothing breaking the hopes and dreams of children to make The Office a hoot. The Promise While the storyline feels a bit out of nowhere, it does two thing I appreciate.  One, it puts Michael under the spotlight.  Michael's a man who yearns for the most positive aspects of life but often fails to deliver any happiness himself.  While the sta...
